Wisp

So I had to ask Google for a definition of wisp, as I was stuck for inspiration. Turns out that as well as being a small bit of something it’s also an old collective noun for a flock of Snipe. Once I’d asked Google for the definition of Snipe I knew where I was at.

It’s a simple idea but I guess those sometimes work the best. Looking at it, the perspective is wrong but I think it still sets the scene. The digital cheat here was to select the birds I had inked and then flip the selection to create a perfect mirror image. I then faded that layer to make it look more like a reflected image and again dropped the ever present gradient behind it all.
