Fish

Fish is the first prompt for Inktober this year. Last year was the first year I engaged, along with one of my best mates from work. I think we only managed about 20 between us. I suspect it will be the same story this year as well, except that I’ve invited a few more people to join in our Inktober WhatsApp group.

So here is my first effort for 2020. I know its all about the ink so using Clip Studio is kind of cheating (except that I’m using mainly digital ink in this drawing). I dropped the background gradient in at the last minute and then used a transparent brush to add the highlights. I think it worked really well, making the big fish look like he is rising up out of the deep. Certainly upped the atmosphere of the piece about 100 fold.
